Two Twenty Two to score 'Ask For Jane'

Ask For Jane

'Ask for Jane' is based on the real-life story of the Jane Collective, a group of women who operated like a spy network to provide safe, illegal abortions to the women of Chicago in the years 1968-1973, immediately before the passage of Roe v. Wade. The Jane Collective ultimately provided over 10,000 women with abortions before their arrest in 1972.

Written and directed by Rachel Carey and conceived by Cait Cortelyou who plays protagonist 'Rose', the independent production also stars Alison Wright (The Americans), Sarah Ramos (Parenthood), Cody Horn (Magic Mike), Chloe Levine (The Defenders) and Sarah Steele (The Good Wife).

In an interview with Deadline, producer Caroline Hirsch said “Ask For Jane is an incredibly impactful and timely story, that inspires us to act and protect. At a time when women still struggle for reproduction rights, we cannot wait to bring the actions of such a brave group of women and men to the screen as a reminder that we need to continue fighting.”
