About the Project

After a tragic accident takes the life of his best friend, a grief-stricken introvert copes with the loss using memory-alteration therapy, but he soon learns that some memories don't want to be forgotten.

Director's Statement:

As a director, what drew me to want to travel to the United States to direct RECONSOLIDATION is that it is a really interesting story of grief that is told in a different way than ordinary dramas tell it. And I like telling stories that make you think about a big topic like that in a way that is completely unexpected.

When Blake and Brandon first shared their script with me, which had just been selected as a Semi-finalist at the prestigious HollyShorts Film Festival, what really excited me about the project was that they had created something, that even just on the page, was intensely cinematic. This film has action, drama, humour and yes, a little sci-fi, but at its core is this strong, emotional story about grief, which is so important and I think will connect with a lot of people out there.

It’s not every day that a script this engaging finds you.
